Research Scientist Position in Cambridge Massachusetts

BioAxone Biosciences is recruiting a candidate for a Research Scientist position focused on studying the biology of spinal cord injury. The ideal candidate would have a background in the neurosciences and in spinal cord injury (SCI) specifically including: rodent models of SCI (contusion, hemisection, compression, etc), histologic analysis, behavioral analysis, microscopy, cell biology and the understanding of critical cellular signaling pathways. This position requires a dedicated and independent self-starter comfortable not only with these necessary methods and techniques, but also a capacity for working as a team.

Working with a small biotechnology company will provide  the successful applicant hand-on experience in translational neuroscience and drug development.



  • MSc. or Ph.D. is required.
  • At least three years’ laboratory experience in preclinical research (preclinical models of disease and/or tissue processing, drug distribution and mechanism of action, behavior)
  • Strong background in neuroscience an asset
  • Experience in carrying out rodent behavioral analysis is a definite asset
  • Meticulous, with good record-keeping skills
